Two reforged stainless steel serving utensils with forged brass handles.

The “forked” spoon began life as a serving fork. I forged the old shape into more of a spoon, leaving the space between the fork tines to serve as draining slots. Then, I hand-forged a new handle from raw naval brass, and mated the two using solid copper rivets. 8.75” long

The slotted spoon is reforged from a large stainless steel serving spoon. I refined the shape over multiple heating and forging cycles, then added the drain holes to make it a more versatile serving utensil. The new handle was hand-forged from raw naval brass and attached with two solid copper rivets. 10.25” long.
