This reforged ladle began life as a cheap stamped product destined to be lost in the back of a kitchen drawer. I forged the bowl much deeper and planished the entire surface, creating a stainless piece that shows the craftsmanship and process in the final piece. I then forged a delicately shaped handle from naval brass and attached them with two copper rivets.

Our Reforged series are spoons which began life as a much different spoon. I occasionally dig through utensils at thrift stores or yard sales and purchase spoons that are unattractive but are made of thick enough stainless steel to have potential as a different utensil.
