This big spoon started life as a decent quality large ladle.I added the drain holes in a simple pattern, then reforged the bowl into a cleaner shape. I cut off the old, ugly handle and forged a new, delicate handle from silicon bronze.

Our Reforged series are spoons which began life as a much different spoon. I occasionally dig through utensils at thrift stores or yard sales and purchase spoons that are unattractive but are made of thick enough stainless steel to have potential as a different utensil.
