This super-long spatula was actually reforged from an older spatula with a stamped flat handle. I forged the copper blade to widen at the end, leaving the hammer marks along the edges for character. The handle is square-tipped and broadly forged from stainless steel.

I applied pure tin to the serving edge, leaving a “splashing waves” effect where the tin coating meets the copper underneath. Tinning is the process of permanently bonding a thin coat of pure tin to copper, just like you might see on old copper cookware. The tin is beautiful, nonstick, and completely foodsafe. Our new swan stamp is visible on the top of the handle.
