Summer '24 Full Copper Serving Spoons
Summer '24 Full Copper Serving Spoons
These two serving spoons are made entirely from pure copper, featuring thick handles forged from 3/8” copper. Copper handles are difficult to forge due to high thermal conductivity, meaning it takes many heating and cooling cycles to create these forgings. Pure copper will show a patina almost immediately with use, and can either be cleaned and treated as a show piece, or embraced and allowed to develop over time.
The left spoon features a special copper bowl that shows a patina from age. This deep serving bowl was made over six years ago and forgotten in an old tool box from before our move to Maine. I found the bowl and only polished it enough to remove the roughness, leaving some of the developed patina showing spots and colors that are completely unique. 11.5” long with a 3” x 3.75” deep bowl.
The right spoon is short and curvy with handmade custom rivets that are larger than I normally use. 9” long.
One-of-a-kind items are in stock and ready to ship. All products are made by Park Swan in our small Maine workshop.
