Summer '24 Slotted Spoons
Summer '24 Slotted Spoons
This series of reforged spoons feature stainless steel bowls matched with specially hand forged handles in naval brass.
The left spoon has a long, elegant bowl with a long handle to match. Nearly 14” long with a 2.5” x 4.25” bowl.
The center left spoon features a shallow circular bowl matched with a wide feathered handle using three copper rivets. 9” long with a 3.25” diameter bowl.
The center right spoon is a classic style for us, with our signature style hexagonally tapered handle and a generous bowl. Overall length is 12” with a 2.6” x 4” bowl.
The right spoon is a small server reforged from a beautiful spoon we found at an estate sale that needed a better handle. It’s been reforged and paired with a narrowing brass handle that allows the bowl to shine. Overall length is 10” with a 2” x 3” bowl.
Our Reforged series are spoons that began life as a much different spoon. I occasionally dig through utensils at thrift stores or yard sales and purchase spoons that are unattractive but are made of thick enough stainless steel to have potential as a different utensil. The steel is heated and “reforged,” altering the shape, texture, and bringing out the beauty and colors in forged steel while retaining the stainless quality of the original spoon.
